A door sign that shows whether you're free, from your calendar.

Getting started

  1. Mount an iPad or iPhone outside your office and keep it plugged in.
  2. Open MyOfficeStatus, allow calendar access, and choose which calendars count.
  3. Set a settings PIN so people walking by can't change the sign.
  4. Press and hold the gear in the corner, then enter your PIN, to open settings later.

Common questions

Which calendars work?
Any calendar on the device: iCloud, Google, Microsoft 365 / Exchange, Outlook.com, and CalDAV. Add accounts in iOS Settings → Apps → Calendar → Calendar Accounts.

I forgot my PIN.
Delete and reinstall MyOfficeStatus, then set it up again. The PIN can't be recovered, so nobody walking by can bypass it.

How do I stop people leaving the app?
Turn on Guided Access in iOS Settings → Accessibility, then triple-click the side or home button while MyOfficeStatus is open.

What does "Dim when nobody is nearby" do with the camera?
It checks the front camera on the device for a person in view and dims the screen when nobody has been seen for a while. Video is never recorded, saved, or sent anywhere.

Can I change the colors and wording?
Yes. In settings, choose Customize Look to change each status's text, color and icon, the font, and add your own background photo.
